In hospitality, every direct booking saves 15 to 25% commission compared to booking platforms (OTAs). A powerful site with integrated booking engine becomes your best salesperson — active 24/7, commission-free.
Here are the 5 pillars of a converting hotel site:
1. Integrated direct booking. Your booking widget must be visible from the first page, with real-time availability and instant confirmation. Every click staying on your site is a commission saved.
2. Immersive gallery. Travelers choose with their eyes. Professional photos, 360° virtual tours and suite videos: show the experience before arrival.
3. Visible customer reviews. Display your Google reviews directly on the site. Reviews are among the first things read before booking: gathering them on your page saves travelers from looking elsewhere — and from drifting to an intermediary platform.
4. Multilingual. French, English, Arabic: a customer reading their own language is a customer who books. A customer reading their own language goes deeper into their search and asks fewer questions before booking.
5. Speed. A slow site sends visitors back before they've even seen the rooms. Optimized images, fast hosting, lightweight design: performance is measured in your own statistics, and can be fixed.
The hotel and riad sites we've built appear in our work, with a link to each live site. To gauge your own potential, we study your current situation for free, before any commitment.
Let's discuss your project ← Back to siteThe three bookings a hotel site must provoke
A hotel site isn't there to explain everything: it's there to provoke a decision. Three cases cover nearly all visits. The traveler still comparing who wants to understand the rooms. The one who's already chosen and wants to book directly. And the one with a precise question — access, parking, transfer — before deciding.
Each page should answer one of these three boxes. A homepage describing the property without saying what to do next sends the traveler back to the platform where they found the hotel.
What blocks a direct booking
- Uncertain availability. Without a booking engine, travelers can't know if their dates are free.
- An invisible price. A displayed starting price saves everyone time.
- Photos that don't match reality. A gap between photo and room costs a negative review.
- An unanswered evening question. A traveler writing at 10pm who hears back next morning has often booked elsewhere.
The go-live calendar
Our plan suited to hotels and riads with booking starts at 5,400 MAD and delivered in 14 days. Hosting and domain remain yours, about 500 to 1,200 MAD per year.
Role sharing between sales channels
| Channel | What it brings | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Booking platforms | Immediate visibility with travelers who don't know the establishment | A commission on each night, the rate of which appears in your contract |
| Site with direct booking | A booking without intermediary, and the client relationship kept | A creation investment, then an annual hosting cost |
| Google Business Profile sheet | Visibility on local search and maps | Free, but requires regular updates |
| Social networks | The desire to stay, the atmosphere of the place. | time, regularly |
These four channels don't oppose each other. The question isn't leaving the platforms, it's not depending on them to the point of losing control over your prices.
The information travelers look for before booking
- Availability on their dates, first of all. Without it, they go back to the platform where they found the hotel.
- What's included: breakfast, transfer, tourist tax, rooftop access.
- Each room's exact capacity, unambiguous: two people, double bed, extra bed possible or not.
- Cancellation terms in writing, not just summarized verbally.
- The location with real distances: Jemaa el-Fna square, airport, nearest parking.
Each written answer removes a call — and above all removes a hesitation. A traveler hesitating in the evening doesn't always come back the next morning.
Measuring what the site really brings
Two indicators suffice to start: the number of requests received directly through the site, and the number of nights actually sold directly. The ratio between the two tells whether the problem is visibility or conversion. A site getting many requests but converting few has a pricing, photo or late-reply problem — not a design problem.
The first month after go-live
It serves to verify three things, in this order. First, that the form and booking button actually work — test from a phone, not your office computer. Then, that requests actually arrive somewhere and are handled within the day. Finally, that pages aimed at travelers are the ones receiving the most visits.
If the most-visited page isn't the booking page, the problem is a journey problem, not design. Fixing button placement earns more than changing the color palette.
