In Morocco, 9 in 10 people use WhatsApp daily. A client contacting you on WhatsApp buys faster and more often than one filling a form. Here's how to turn your site into a WhatsApp lead machine.
1. The WhatsApp button in the right place. On your site, the WhatsApp button must be visible at all times: top-right on desktop, fixed bottom bar on mobile, and on every page. The message must be pre-filled (“Hello, I'd like a quote for...” so the client has nothing to write.
2. Set up a professional WhatsApp Business. Logo, description, hours, product catalog, automatic welcome message and quick replies: it's your customer-service showcase.
3. The WhatsApp Business catalogue. You can showcase your products or services directly inside WhatsApp. Customers see your rates and order without leaving the app.
4. Targeted broadcasts (with consent). The WhatsApp broadcast list lets you send offers to your existing customers. Careful: only to people who opted in, with an unsubscribe option — trust is your capital.
5. Conversation tracking. A fast response time (under 5 minutes) shows the “Replies quickly” badge on your profile. Always reply, even to say “I’ll get back to you”.
We systematically integrate WhatsApp lead capture in our sites: every click is traced, the number +212 642 844 148 receives the request directly. Combined with our plans (showcase 2,499 MAD, Business 5,400 MAD), it's the most cost-effective combo for a Moroccan SMB.

A poorly made WhatsApp button is useless. Three conditions must be met. It must stay visible at all times, including while scrolling. The message must be pre-filled with page context: a visitor writing from a service page shouldn't have to explain which service they mean. And someone must be there to answer quickly.
The third point is the one people forget. A button opening a conversation left unanswered for hours hurts more than a simple form.
Organizing requests as volume grows
The threshold matters less than the rule: every request needs an owner and a deadline. Without that, volume growth degrades quality unnoticed.
Measuring what WhatsApp really brings
To know if the channel is profitable, link the conversation to its origin: which page, which service, which city. A pre-filled message mentioning the source page provides this without extra tooling. Without this traceability you know you get messages, not what triggers them.
Write the standard replies once and for all
Most of a business's WhatsApp conversations revolve around six recurring questions. Writing them once, saving them as quick replies, then adapting in two lines per request saves considerable time without automated sounding.
| Frequently asked questions | What the answer must contain |
|---|---|
| What's your price? | A publishable starting price, and what moves it |
| What are your deadlines? | A range in working days, and what could stretch it |
| Where are you located? | The address, and a note that work is remote if that's the case. |
| Do you work in my city? | Covered zones, without exaggerating real coverage |
| Can you show me examples? | Two or three links to past projects, not a brochure |
| Why are your prices higher? | What is additionally included, factually |
A template reply isn't a cold reply: it's the same information, written calmly instead of between two appointments.
The personal-number trap
Using your personal number for business works until the day separating the two becomes impossible. The consequences are concrete: messages arrive in the middle of the night and family life, professional conversations sink in private threads, and history vanishes if the device changes.
Two simple solutions: a dedicated business number, or the WhatsApp Business app which separates both spaces while keeping the same phone.
What a site brings to WhatsApp
- Upstream qualification. The visitor has already read services, prices and lead times before writing. The conversation starts further ahead.
- Context message. A pre-filled button from a service page tells you what the visitor is asking about.
- Permanent availability. A visitor discovering the company at 11pm can write, even if the reply comes next morning.
- Proof. Projects and reviews read before the message cuts the trust-building time.
WhatsApp is not a competitor to the site, it is its final link. A site converting without fast WhatsApp lets requests leave; a WhatsApp without a site gets many basic questions and closes few sales.
The pre-filled message, properly worded
The message attached to the button sets the conversation's quality. Three details make it useful: the service concerned, the page of origin and, if the company handles it, the client's city.
A message like “Hello, I'm from your site” forces a restart from zero. A message reading “Hello, I'm contacting you about a showcase website for my restaurant in Marrakech” lets you answer usefully first time, with no preliminary question.
